i am a civil eng. i manage huge state projects.

everyone i work with is a CE. i do have some architects on my team, but they are the visionaries of the group. they come up with the ideas, i shoot them down.

i am in the field everyday. making sure the project is done according to plans and specs. contractor's LOOOOVEEE saving money, so that usually means shortcuts, and creative interpretations to our contracts. we butt heads every day. i love it.

currently, i am finishing up a tunnel job. here are some pics i took of the crew setting up explosives to blast away the rock. my job flat out rocks on some days..

OSWEGO yea i have experience reparing tanks patrolium and oil tanks welding and the construction of a tank and such but other than that thats all i got at the moment along with the degree. But like you were saying i completly understand what you say and ive heard a lot of people say that if you dont have experience on the field you aint worth all that much..

I say iam good at communicating with people. If i know whats going on and what needs to happen and some details i can stand up and say it

do you guys have any tips as to getting in as a PM.. ive always loved to set things up and organize get things to run smoothly (which smoothly in a construction world is pretty dang hard IMO haha)..
