I'm a full time student. It's a ridiculous job with no current pay, but I'm hoping the pay off at the end will be worth the effort. :)

My job is a job. It pays the bills and provides me with enough time off to do the things I really enjoy. I work 7-4:30 Mon - Thurs. Some customers are great, some are a pain.

My philosophy is, you should at least love the job you do, or the money it makes.
Some people are lucky enough to get both.
    Lots of people have neither.

    What is your job?

No official job right now but I'm hoping to become an RN with a BSN mainly because I have a passion for helping people, job security, and can't really see myself doing much else. My dad always told me that "If you find a job you like you'll never work a day in your life."

I love my job...and if someone tries to tell me their job is better than mine, I'll give them the finger because it's not true. I truly believe this. It pays for my house, my family and the stuff that makes me happy...and I have 7 fine men that would give their lives for me.

Job is cruise mode :D, but hate the people i work with. Bunch of grouchy old fucks who are 35+ years older than me, who complain about everything and talk about how they are broke and don't have enough to retire. Must suck to be in their situation. Old fucks need to retire earlier and rotate in some younger people.

I agree college is very important, but they have taken it a step farther and make 4 year degrees required for just about everything. I see a lot of bachelor, masters and phd's who quite frankly have the work ethic of a sloth. They are book smart but otherwise give me a hard working person without a degree.

It is said that if you enjoy what you do then you never work a day in your life.

    I have three jobs.

The main one is working with produce. A lot of time is spent in a coooold refrigeration unit providing high quality produce for consumption. Inspection and quality control, merchandising, complying to USDA rules and laws as well as sanitation, safety and COOL Compliance (Country of Origin). It's a lot of physical work lifting up to 70lbs from off of the pallet but at the end of the day, knowing that I have done my best and completed my responsibilities is one of the greatest feelings. 26 years of bliss.

The second job is running a website. Keeping things smooth and helping to develop a community such as this so people can learn and experience things in a positive manner. 7 years of fun.

The third is being part owner of a T shirt company. Sometimes I wonder if it's even worth it. This May will be two years.

Yeah, what's the point of an associates degree anyway? I am told that you used to be able to get an entry level job with one, then work your way through the bachelors. My associates degree hasn't done me any good at all. A few guys that I have worked with learned a trade in prison (seriously) and have no college at all. They make the same as I do, and probably would be the last to be let go as well. Some employers like to keep guys around who have a tough time finding work because of their past. They are very loyal, apparently.
