    There are many branches of engineering, with the big three for undergraduate are still civil, mechanical and electrical, my BS is in Mechanical, with a Masters in Industrial.

    I would get one of the basic degrees to start and specialize in grad school. There is more to life than computer/software engineer, which is branch of electrical, just like industrial is a branch of mechanical.
