So Im in need of some life/financial advice. Heres my situation:
So I had a great job, had been there for about a year, job security and stability. But anyways long story short, I went and bought a 2014 tacoma and have since lost that job.
I have about six grand into that truck, finance charges, downpayment, warranties and loan payments. I can no longer afford the truck and continue to have my lifestyle. My expenses are even with my income as of now, I have two credit cards with about 1500$ total for both that I am behind on. I dont have any high expenses other than fuel and my 600 dollar a month truck payment.
What do you guys suggest that I do ?
1.trade my truck in for a cheaper tacoma or a car(i really dont like having or driving cars)
2.try to sell it to a dealer and buy a cheap vehicle around 5-10 grand.and lose all the money ive paid for it so far. which is gonna be kinda hard since i dont have much for a downp.
3.keep paying for the truck until i find a better paying job.
or any other options you guys can think of?? what makes the most sense>>

    cut cable entirely
    cut internet bill
    cut coffee/dining/fun bill in half
apply for a chase slate credit card, balance transfer all your debts to it at no cost and enjoy 15 months no interest. have one minimum payment, without interest accruing.

Cut all bills, ditch all that aren't necessary.
    Sell truck.
Use cash from truck sale to buy a used car and pay for it IN CASH.

You're over extended even when you had a job, sounds like. So when the job disappeared you were up to your neck pretty quickly. Not sure moving balances is wise either, since I question your financial choices.

Pay off all your debt. Sell the truck. Buy a cash car. When you are able to save money again then breathe easier, but your situation isn't terrible - yet. Don't let it get there.

Very sound advice, Thanks. I dont have many bills other than credit cards, cellphone, insurance and truck payment. Other expense would be fuel I commute about 60 miles to work daily.

Insurance and truck payment is where all your money goes, though right? And 3-4 gallons per day of commuting gas?

If you didn't have that over your head you'd have the credit cards paid off in 2 months. Boom, debt free. Every dollar you then make is yours and yours only. Drive the cash car for a year or two and assuming you fall into a better job picture then you can reapproach a new vehicle with a heathy down payment and avoid the $600 car payment.
