Hey guys! I am just looking into going to TEEX firefighting school in texas, starting Jan 11. From what i hear, It's the best firefighting school in the world! has anyone been? I'm quite excited and a bit nervous.

Can't wait to be a firefighter though!

I have never herd of the school so I would not be much help there. Where is it located at? I hope you like hot weather. It was 102 today and no cool down in the forcast. If you are going to be in the Dallas area I could give you some advice on where to look for a place to live.

not a firefighter but a cop in the austin area. teex is a great school, had several good friends attend that school. if i could do it all over i would be a firefighter instead of a cop!!!

    good luck

Good luck in your new career!!!!

I went to firefighting school in Socorro, NM when I was a firefighter so I can't speak for TX. It's a tough academy but worth it!!!

Best of luck! Very honorable heroic career choice. Firemen should have rock star status more than they do instead of hippy punks strummin on a geeetar, lol.

FYI. If you plan on being a fire fighter here in texas you also need to take a emt-b class. Good luck with your career plans
