Good luck at TEEX! I'm sure it will be quite an experience.

I've heard the same around here. A buddy of mine just took the written exam to be considered for acceptance into the academy. He got a 96 and said only 97or 98 (cant remember which one) and above were even considered for entrance to the academy.

well check out the website at teex.com

They have the best reputation for being a very good school, they have more simulated burns than anywhere else, at most places they teach you to drive a truck, but you never drive it, at teex they have a driving course that everyone gets to drive on in the fire truck.

Lots of reasons that got me! you should look into it if your interested

While you're there in Bryan/College Station...learn how to "Hump it" like all the Aggies do. Class of 93' myself. Used to think there was something on fire to the south...until I found out about the fire school.

Congrats! Get ready to work, be humble, become a sponge -- learn as much as you can (take good notes in order to have a kick butt "rookie book") and strive to make your recruit class a team. Good luck!

well, I've been reading my essentials of firefighting 5th edition and doing some running at the gym, and lots of pull ups push ups and sit ups. I did 1 1/2 mile run in 9.5 mins, for school I have 10.5 mins, so I'm already ahead! super excited to go so just an update :p

This is the class that just ended, very inspirational video to me.
