Half our cops are immature little douche pricks that are about as smart as our finance people anyways. Glad you got out of it.

I used to leave it up to him and he was always hard on military personell. dk why. My other partner is on active duty with the army right now. he's been deployed for the past 5 years, he was the same way...never did understand it?? But he is up there in rank i think full bird status and he knew everyone to call...could not figure it out for the life of me
Do you mean he has been called to Active Duty in the Reserves for the past 5 years, or actually deployed overseas for the past 5 years?

Some former military might be harder on current military guys as they hold them to a higher standard and expect more from them than they expect from civilians.

Most people, cops included, that I met while on active duty actually went out of their way to help a soldier. I once was stationed in the South in a place where the bus routes were situated so that you had to ride for six hours either to the top of the state and back down or to the bottom of the state and back up in order to get from the the nearest civilian airport to the base, which was less than fifty miles as the crow flies.

I'd always hitchhike as I didn't relish a six-hour bus ride but I never had to walk far with a dufflebag over my shoulder before a rancher, family or local sheriff would pick me up and give me ride, often taking me all the way to the post even though it was miles out of their way. This was in the 70s too, when the left-over hippies and liberal media were always trying to get the public to look down on GIs.

I live in Northern VA. Fairfax county Police and state police that i have met have all been very curtious. I really like LE up here. They are the no bullshit type of LEO. If u Ducked up, then you ducked up. simple, 1 standard. and they are funny too. i met one outside of sunaco one time, and he was checking out my rig. He said he liked it. I asked him how can i get to drive one of those cool cars with the flashing lights on it? he looked at me very seriosly, i laughed and he handed me his card. I thinking about applying now
