Uhm water is provided for a reason....between a little water and a fan or air movement, you'll be good to go in 20-30 min.

The course out here they spray you, ask if you want water, and then you get to wrestle with an instructor and cuff him, most of the officers I talked to about it said don't take the water as it helps the OC get into your nose, mouth, and eyes easier.

Deputy Sheriff Allen Bares was shot and killed at approximately 4:00 pm while investigating two suspicious men while off duty.

Deputy Bares was cutting grass when he observed the men crash their car into a ditch on South Hospital Drive. He called the sheriff's office to report the incident and suspicious activity, then approached them and identified himself as a sheriff's deputy. As he did so one of the men drew a weapon and fatally shot him.

Responding deputies located Deputy Bares suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to Abbeville General Hosptial, where he succumbed to his wounds.

After shooting Deputy Bares, the two subjects stole his truck and fled the area. The truck was later located in Abbeville, and both subjects were arrested several hours later. They were subsequently charged with first degree murder, unauthorized use of an automobile, and for a burglary they had just committed on the same street.

Deputy Bares had served in law enforcement for 15 years. He had previously served with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office. He is survived by his wife and two children.

6 years as an OC instructor and I get sprayed every year: Take the water. Bring Johnson's Baby Wash if they let you. It will suck but wash the crap out of your face and get it off. If they have water buckets remember to splash the top layer of water away. The residue floats. If they have a hose instead of buckets just lay on the gound like Next Friday and have them spray your face while you wash. Wash well and you will have less chance of re-flash.

I preferred the bend over at the waist and take the hose at an angle to the face while not being able to breathe and all of a sudden feel like you're drowning method myself

had a buddy hold the hose and I scrubbed and managed to not get any on the rest of me

ABBEVILLE - Officials said a fallen Vermillion Parish sheriff's deputy will be honored with a special flag during his funeral Friday.

The sheriff's office said the U. S. Honor Flag, which flew during 9/11 recovery efforts in New York, will be displayed at Deputy Allen Bares Jr.'s funeral Friday afternoon in Abbeville.

"To have this for one of your fallen officers as part of your final salute is huge," said Colonel Kirk Frith with the Vermillion Parish Sheriff's Office. "We are proud to have this flag represented here in Vermillion Parish today and very proud for it to be a part of our final salute to our brother Deputy Bares."

Bares died Monday when investigators said he was shot to death by Quintylan Richard, 20, and Baylon Taylor, 19. Investigators said Bares, who was off-duty, saw Richard and Taylor after the pair had broken into a home. When Bares approached them and identified himself as a sheriff's deputy, investigators said the two shot him.

Richard and Taylor face first-degree murder charges. Authorities also arrested Quintygi Richard, 24, and Miguel Comeaux, 28, on suspicion of helping the shooting suspects elude capture.

Visitation for Deputy Bares began at 8 a.m. Friday in Abbeville. The funeral is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville, with burial following at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Erath.

Apparently in my city it's not illegal to attempt to bribe or solicit to a Officer.

The other day Officers were called to a store because a lady had left her dog in a car for over 3 hours and the dog finally broke a window getting out, when they arrested the lady she didn't know what town she was in, and when she was getting transported to jail she offered the Officer $1,000 cash if he let her out, and on top of that she tried to solicit herself to the officer. some people.
