Not a LEO but brother is

anywho.. What flashlights do you guys like/use? My brother has the Streamlight Stinger up in NJ and my JSO friend likes the Inova, not sure which model he has..

I've been drooling over the Lawman R1 by Surefire but the price is up there..

I do have the TA3 by Nextorch

When I retired I asked my Lt. if I could keep my SL-20. Carried that light for YEARS and it just felt wrong leaving it behind. I also bought and carried a Sure-Fire which I still use. It's so old that it isn't listed on the Sure-Fire web site anymore and there isn't a model number anywhere on the light.

As to cost.....my lights have lasted for 25+ years so, you buy one light and it lasts, or buy something not as well made and have to replace it.

I think I am gonna get the Nitecore Extreme here eventually. It's like $100 and I have only ever seen good reviews on it

I carry my issued Streamlight Stinger Poly LED and a Streamlight Stylus Pro

They both work well and seem to be reliable, but I find it's easier to get light through glass with an incandescent bulb vs LED

I have the stinger LED too. I had the other kind and went tracking a guy and I couldn't see crap. Had to have the trooper shine his light for us.

We used my light for the first time today (just got it in from lapolicegear.com this week). The ME used it to look up the dead guys nose ..... Thankfully the took his gloves off before grabbing my light.
