Do police has problem with trailers that are registered in Maine?

Some states have draconian requirements and fees to buy and own trailer. One buys small trailer for $200 and spends $500 to register it and pay $40 per month just to own it.

So one could buy trailer from lowes that's assembled and made in USA, it's safe and has all safety requirements. Then registered it in main using phone or website and receive 5 year plates for under $100.

Maine and rhode island plates are a no go round these parts. And if you're from Martha's vineyard then you really got a problem.
He's being sarcastic. There's no way they're going to pull you over and be like "you better live in Maine with those plates, boyy." It's a trailer I'm sure he won't even notice the difference in plates between your vehicle and the trailer.
