Oldest LEO in U.S. retires after 63 yrs
I worked w/ Mr. Thomas for several years. At the age of 91, health issues caused him to retire. He came into LE at a time when he was not allowed to drive the patrol cars and not allowed to arrest a white person. He is a very private person and retired with no fanfare/announcement at his request.....after 63 years at HPD! This article is from earlier this year. It's a shame that his retirement was so low key and the people of Houston didn't get a chance to learn more about him and give him the thanks he deserves. Thank you for your service Mr. Thomas!

Damn! Thats a long run.

A guy down here in Fort Lauderdale has been on the job 43 years, and I thought that was a long time!
