i have a 2005 double cab TRD offroad with aftermarket headlights with seperate high an low beam bulbs. i want to get HID's but im concerned with how well they will work in falling snow or heavy fog. do the HIDs reflect off the falling snow bad or does it cut through? basically i dont want to lose the effectivness of low beams in bad weather. any input would be great!!

HID's suck in falling snow!!! I'm going to put my silverstars back in for the winter. I have the 6k HID. Might go with the 3k fog HIDs though.

i really dont know much about HIDs really. so when you put HIDs in do you basically just aim your low beams so that they become your new high beams and shoot far down the road?

For snow anything past white sucks, I would go with some yellow fogs or better yet yellow light for headlights. Maybe get a light bar and run some aux lights.

When I got my truck inspected the mechanic spent about 20 min trying to adjust them down enough. They hardy moved at all. Other than the falling snow and heavy fog I love these things.
