I searched but could not find results matching my query. Basically I plan on installing my Projectors from TRS and do the BHLM this weekend. But i wanted to see if there was a product that I could use that would take the existing chrome on the bezel, not the reflector bowl, and make it look like black chrome.

So instead of just getting flat black, I want it to look similar to the newer Tacomas with the smoked headlight. Any ideas guys?

Duplicolor has a product for this, but if I recall correctly it was getting mixed reviews.

If i did go for just flat black, do I need to sand down or remove the plastic chrome plating on the bezel or can I just paint right over it?

I just cleaned mine with a t-shirt and rubbing alcohol and painted over them with Krylon Fusion. So far I'm a few months in without any signs of defects.
