I have a defiant light bar myself, and I have 4 PIAAs on there. 2 driving and 2 fog. They are either the 540s or 520s, I can't remember, but they are pretty damn bright.

i just got 4 hella 700ffs on my truck and i'm not too impressed. i have had kc offroad lights before and i liked those. the kc's were 100watt and they had more of a pencil beam vs the hella 700ff at 55watt which seem more like a flood beam.

Yeah I got some Hella 1000 FF and they are not that bright so I was looking at the lightforce Striker 170's.

I have IPF 900XS Driving Beam pattern lights. I like the waterproof feature, and they are bright while maintaining a bit lower wattage at 65W each. They are nice, but I am not completely impressed with the brightness of them. I expected daylight for the price, maybe it is my expectations rather than the lights. Would like to hear other's thoughts on the IPF's compared to PIAA's.

I have some PIAA 520's i think, and they are just fog lights and they are brighter than my headlights dang near. On my light bar i just bought a Rigid LED light bar and that things is crazy bright.

I just put in some PIAA 520i lights and even thought they are yellow they are bright! I tried the standard 520's and they were far far brighter than my headlights.... the only reason I went with the yellow was cause of the snow up here. Also I paid around 260 for the lights as a kit, would have rather purchased individually from someone to save the cash but I am still happy.

I don't own them but lightforces are the best. At my other house in alaska that I'm at all summer every other car has lightforces, trucks, SUVs, even Little Honda sedans. People are using these lights to protect their lives from moose running out in front of the car, lightforces may be expensive but they're deffinitley durrable and powerful.

I have Hella 4000 metal halogens, that replaced the Kragen Chinese plastic 7" HIDs.

HIDs (any brand) out light halogen... as long as the temperature is 4300-5000ºK any more and they go blue which is LESS light on the road... lower temp. and they are yellowish like the halogens which are closer to 3000ºK

One brand of lights not in the poll, but worth considering also is Solotek by 'Baja Designs'.

hella's best for the money and are easily converter to HID. But in reality, theres Vision X, Rigid Industries, and a few other companies. So the more money you spend the better the quality..

I have a set of piaa 580s behind my grill and these things are white bright. also have a set of hella 500 on my back rack. i use the lights every day, the hellas are not as bright as the piaas but they also cost less than half the price of the piaas...its not who makes the best light, its what you want and how deep your pockets are
