HID question

i am getting HID kits for my truck.
i have had HIDs in the past on my last car.

a friend of mine has an 06 charger and we put a kit in his car and it burnt out his front area control module. the reason for that is the charger/300/magnums need a capacitor and a relay, as the FAM cant handle the voltage spikes. (thats how it was explained at the dealer)

so basically what im asking, do we need any extra items, or just a regular HID kit will work just fine?

thats what i figured, as all of the install walkthrough's never show anything but what comes with the kit, HID ballasts, bulbs, and relay for Hi/Low beam.
