I am putting in my Hellas.

I am looking for a good wiring configuration...

What do you have and how did you wire your's up?

I would like mine to be able to come on but not be a drain on the battery.
    Like the stock standard setup.

I could really use some tech help. I don't like the tap in on the battery shit that come with the lights. I want this BULLIT proof.

If you can post a easy to follow schematic that would be awesome...

Not a whole lot of options man.

You either need to tap onto the battery or onto a fuse block connected to battery.

Whatever you do use a relay.

What do you mean use a relay?

And how would one set up to say tap into the the fog lamps? I have them so they come on anytime with the FOG LIGHT MOD from here. Might be nice to just tap into the fog lights and have my Hella Grill lights come on with the fogs.

Thanks for your help, I didn't think anyone was going to respond.

You'd probably overload that circuit. You can use the fogs as the trigger (using a relay and a cab switch), but I wouldn't draw the power off the fog light circuit.

I've got a set of PIAA's set up so there's a switch in the cab and a relay under the hood. The switch has to be on and the headlights (high beams) have to be on to switch the relay on and power the lights. A test light is your friend when wiring lights up. Also, just a recommendation, I always solder and heat shrink all connections, just wire tying or crimping them and wrapping in electrical tape is not the correct way to connect wires.

Happy to help, let me know if you have any other questions. Unfortunately, wiring is hard to talk about over the internet but I can get pictures once I'm back home.
