HELP WITH IPFs!!

Alright, this will cast me in a poor light but I need help. For my local search and rescue group, we were trying to put lights on top of our trucks to illuminate ditches in roads as we drove down. We purchased some IPF rectangular driving lights (8) to have 4 on each truck. We snipped the connectors off of the wiring harness on 4 lights to wire one truck then tried to align them. At this point, we realized the are far to focused to be looking 20 feet away.... We were thinking about trying to return the other four but since we snipped the four mounted, could we just put in some other bulbs? Would fog bulbs be the best option? For the four unaltered lights be best returned for fog specific or jest replace the bulbs? Any recommendations for a good bulb that will fit and provide a good flood light for about 20 feet away?

Any help is appreciated, I really screwed the pooch on this one!!

Changing the bulb won't help.Light distribution is all about the reflector.
@20 ft.a flood would work best.Fog light is a maybe.imo
Maybe run 2 flood and 2 driving lights on each rig?

 

I was trying to look around and all I saw were fogs, driving (or euro?), and spot lights. Which are the floods?

Would different bulbs make no difference or just minimal?

 

Just go to WalMart or NAPA or something and get the $10 rubberized tractor lights. They might be in the large truck section, as they are often used in various locations on semis as well. They are 55watts, and will probably do what you want. You can get them in flood pattern. They are about 4-5" in diameter.
