Did some research and noticed that 5000K headlight bulbs seemed like a nice bright white...not much hint of blue. Found some that are direct replacement w/o conversion kit. Wondering if they are actually too bright or if they will garner unwanted attention from cops? Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Get 35w bi-xenon and make sure they are aimed properly. 5000k will be fine. The bi-xenon has a shield that blocks light from the bottom of the reflector bowl, and light is reflected down at the road. With out that shield you will essentially constantly run your "brights" and blind the crap out of people. 55w is too bright for on-road use IMO.

I have 6000k and they are bright white with a hint of blue, not rice at all. I wouldnt go anything over though.

I wonder how long those ebay halogens last? I think i might buy a set just to see how they compare.

is any of this a "straight replacement" of the stock bulbs?
