will driving without the gauge cluster break anything? Like the odometer....or rather would the miles I drive without the cluster not be counted?

I in no way want my miles/odo reading to be off.

 

Negative...no damage comes from it not being on there
The mileage will always be recorded on the ecu even if the dash isnt connected (from what I know)

 

I figured you were the one to ask. I heard these ones are the ones to get for the fog light switch, but are they the same for behind the climate control? And if I want to keep the climate control orange, should I get the white, or the orange LED? I didn't see any bulb condoms on the ones behind the climate control.

The orange you see behind the climate controls is actually painted on the silver faceplate you see all the time
If you go white then you should be fine it will be all nice and bright...I just don't remember the size of the bulb lol

 

Haha okay, but do you know color wise, would getting white match better with the rest of the dash or orange for the climate controls.

I'll probably pull them out and compare them with the fog light switch one to see if they are the same. I'll keep you updated.

 

The fog light switch bulb is definitely smaller than the on behind the controls...
If you get them in white they will be a bit brighter and lighter orange

well normally i do local swaps...i just do shipping as an extra for people that are out of state
so of course.

 

Okay so new problem Jerez, my numbers on the odometer aren't complete, if o kinda push on the harness they are okay but if I let go the aren't all lit up. What did I fuck up? I also changed the color of the speedo needle to white and was wondering if I need to recalibrate the speedo? Or just make sure the needles are all the way to zero , cold, empty, and zero on the tach too? Here's what it looks like now...

 

So all your numbers are out. I would take apart and make sure they are pushed in all the way.

If it is not lighting up and you push an it and then it lights up that means you got a loose solder joint and its not making a good connection.

Any insight to how to get the blue needles? Do you just paint the stock needles blue and put a white led behind?

I paint the needle blue and put a blue led as well...

Whatever color the member wants for the needles it will be painted that color and the led wil be that exact color as well
