2nd gen aux backup lights...mounting location??

Ok soo I wanna mount some rectangle back up lights on the back bed rail, how y'all mounting these??? I'm thinkin about takin off the little accessory rail a ma jig an drilling it on the top of the bed thus being able to mount my lights there..good idea or nay?

Well they aren't mounted in the pic..so when they are mounted they are high enough...I used to just have them mounted on the bed cleats

 

I've seen a couple guys mounted them on their trailer hitch

I rigged a round aux light to a bed cleat but about half of it hits the tail gate so I'm lookin to mount some in a better spot but I think imma try my idea I'll post pics an let y'all kno how it turns out

 

How exactly did u mount that bar like that did u drill through the bed?

 

I used some 3/8" unistrut. Spring bolts behind the track, no drilling at all, total cost was about 17$

 

what do you have that shovel mounted with

 

3/8" unistrut and a conduit hanger, with a wing nut for quick acces,works great!
