I sent the guy a few more e-mails, he hasn't responded since Friday... I sent him a follow up Monday and again today. So far I've been very pleasant, I appreciate the help, thank you so much, etc. But, if this guy keeps blowing me off and doesn't send a resonse by tomorrow, I'm e-mailing him the whole string so show how many e-mails he's ignored and copying PIAA's main customer service. Waiting this long just for them to determine whether or not they're going to sell me the parts is ridiculous in my opinion. I think I'll threaten to switch to Lightforce or Rigid :D

How are your Lightforces treating you? You get them mounted up yet?

Stop it Brock! You're being a bad influence on my wallet! I wonder if I could make Lightforces mount in the fog light location...

I doubt it'd fit either. I did some looking and the smallest Lightforce I could find is 6". I'll get the 540 to fit whether PIAA sells me the kit or not. If they don't, I'll just stop recommending them. So far I'm far from impressed with their customer service, he's ignored me for almost a week now...

I really like the Avid bars, they're slick looking! I wish I knew about them before I bought my brush guard... Get some pics up once you have the set-up done!

Hell no, I love the 520's! For what I use them for they're perfect. I'm on the road most of the time so they're not so bright where I'll get pulled over but are much much better than the high beams (I've got them wired so they can only come on if the high beams are on). I think the Lightforces would be overkill for me and I don't have the bills to drop on those things just yet...

I am eyeing a simplier light bar that holds 4 lights though... maybe some LF HID's would compliment the PIAA's!

    Haha, nice!

I might, for now I just found out I'm going to be dropping some coin on tires... Cooper is giving me some money to warranty my tires but I've gotta come up with the balance. Not a bad thing but still going to effectively lighten my wallet!

Update: Scathing e-mail sent to PIAA. 3 unanswered e-mails since last Friday is unacceptable and piss poor customer service. I still don't know if they'll even sell me the parts or, if they do, what the cost would be. At this point I've written off any hopes of getting help from PIAA. DIY for mounting 540's in stock fog location to follow!

I think PIAA needs to take a page from our vendor's customer service manuals. I think they missed the part where ignoring customers is not a good thing... I think PIAA has a great product but I will no longer support or refer people to them unless they finally man-up and come through big.

"It's been a week since your last response and I was wondering if PIAA has taken a stance on this issue as of yet? As this is a special case where I'm asking PIAA to sell parts they do not typically separate from a kit, I've tried to be patient and understanding throughout this process. However, I now feel that a waiting a week and a half for a company to decide if they are going to allow me to purchase parts is pushing it. I have sent 3 other e-mails questioning the progress of this issue in the last week and received no response. As as last resort I'm asking once again if PIAA will allow me to purchase the parts required to complete the light kit for my Tacoma."

That e-mail was written to the customer service rep who was dealing with my case and I also copied the main customer service e-mail so someone else will see it. I attached the string of e-mails including the last 3 that were blatantly ignored. Sadly, if they just said they won't sell the parts, end of story, I would have been fine with it. Stringing me along just needlessly pissed me off. PIAA has lost a customer

Lesson learned, next time go with Sierra Expeditions
