i currently have an aries bull bar with a set of piaa's 540's mounted on it. I was really starting to lean towards trying to part ways with the 540's and try out the 520's either smr's or just their 85 watt drivers. my question is does anyone know if the 520's will fit on the bullbar? i know that the 540's have a bit of space all around them and the 520's are about an inch larger. im just wondering if anyone has any past experience to lend so i can decide whether or not to pull the trigger on this purchase. thanks for all the help.

That's really specific... one kind of bar and only one brand of light... I can't answer because I have a custom made light bar and a pair of 7" driving beam HIDs and a pair of 8" spot beam HIDs (which were converted from being 100 watt halogens). Doesn't PIAA have an on line catalog with size data? Check out http://www.bajadesigns.com/2009/newcatalog.php as have 4", 6", and 8" lamps in halogen or HID.

they have all the size data but that doesnt really help me at all. i can throw up a cardboard cutout i make that is supposed to represent the lights all day long to convince myself to go ahead and order the 520's but mainly i was just wanting some first hand experience from someone to let me know if they had tried 6" lights on their bullbar.
most all bullbars are quite similar in design as well as most all 6" lights are similar in housing dimensions. but thanks for the input.
