Morimoto Install on my X-Runner

well i finally got all the parts for my retro

ordered a set of aftermarket black headlights off ebay so i could keep my stock ones in one piece and this kit from theretrofitsource.com

  • 2x D2S Morimoto Mini bi-xenon projectors w/ clear lenses (Low & High Beams)
  • 2x HID ballasts (Morimoto, Denso, or Matsushita)
  • 1x Ballast test lead
  • 2x D2S HID Lamps (Morimoto or Philips)
  • 2x Shrouds/bezels of your choice
  • 2x Projector Centric shroud spacers
  • 2x metallic BIXENON bezel emblems
  • 2x Alcohol prep pads for the HID bulbs
  • 1x Plug n Play Bi-xenon Relay Harness
  • 1x TheRetrofitSource.com decal
  • 2-year worry free replacement warranty
  • Personalized after-sale customer support and "how-to" PDF's are available upon request.
i got 6000k bulbs...they have just a hint of blue. i put my angel eyes behind the apolo shrouds, i just didnt like the way i was going to have to attache them to the front of the shrouds. just seemed cheap looking, wish they came pre attached i really like the way they look. picture 4 shows what it looks like with them on.

here are some pics

i thought it looked more stock with the housing chrome, i do like the all blacked out version too.

as this was my first ever retro, and as a matter of fact first time ive played with a headlight like that, i decided to take the easier route. i dont think i would have a problem with the fx-r retro though now.
