I'm looking to swap my 3rd brake light out. Not just to LEDS but a smoked lens and black inside. I know I could smoke my lens myself but I'd rather buy one of these. Smoking something that's already red makes it dark dark

Anyway I know that 95-04 tacos use the same third brake light. The 05-11 look so so close! Some listings on eBay say 95-11 others say 95-04. Anyway here is a picture. I think they are the same so it should work

I'm thinking of getting this same one for my 2nd gen. There ae 3 different colors but I think black would look the best on my MGM

I have a black sand pearl. This is what I want to

But the only ones on eBay for tacomas say 95-04. Just here lately have I seen some say 95-11. I always thought that the 1st gen third brake light was the same. But before I buy it I'd like to know if I'm right

I would ask the seller, I had to do that many times and they come back and tell me they will not fit my 2010. I still have been searching for ones to fit mine.

Hmmm. Well maybe they did make a whole new third brake light for the second gens. They look so freaking close. I may just order the cheapest one for an actual 1st gen and see if it'll work for my 2nd gen

I did the same thing. I bought a 95-04 3rd Brake LED off Ebay for $35 shipped. It's on my 05 Tacoma X-Runner right now. It fit's just fine. You just have to make your own wiring connection and make your own gasket, since no connector or gasket is included.

I have this one. Has a problem sealing it, so I siliconed it. Mine was made by InPro Carwear and it's great. I bought the smoked one.

I have this one also...and yes sealing is a problem. Moisture seems to get inside the cover when it rains so next dry day I get I will seal it up. Other than that. It works really well and looks alot better then the red stock one. Here are a few pics of mine. This light actually has a clear cover but the inside of the light is black so it looks dark when its off.
