I have a 2006 Tacoma, when I am driving mid morning and early evening I put my lights in the middle position, so the dash lights up but my headlights dont come on. This is what I want for the 30 mins or so until it gets to dark and I turn on my headlights. I thought that on the Tacoma that the two front turn signal lights were supposed to be constant on as "marker" lights in this scenario? And then flash when using them for turning. Is this a 2009+ thing or is there a fuse blown, or am I just crazy?

My turn signal lights all around work, and so do all my other lights, I just thought that the turn signal lights in the front were always on when the lights were on and then just blinked on one side when you were using them to signal a turn.

Only the corner lights come on unless you have DTRL.

So if you have DTRL the front turn signals are your front running lights? I thought DTRL meant you had your front headlights on? Atleast that was how is was on my Pontiac... Sorry for the dumb confusion, I feel like it is Monday.

Yes, different cars use different DTRL setups. I used to have a Grand Am back in the day which uses the headlights at lower power. With the Tacoma, its the turn signal lights. Its an easy mod to add them for trucks not equipped with them.

Ok cool, thanks, I may do the mod when it gets warmer out, I have it bookmarked somewhere, and a search will find it too. Wiring when it is below freezing is just not fun...
