LED Map Lights-Need Help

I got some LED map light bulbs. How do I remove the standard bulbs without a trip to the ER for stitches? I can't get a good grip on them and I'm afraid I will squeeze too hard and they will break. How do you guys do it?

 

You could just take your overhead out and push the bulbs from their base IIRC.

 

they are not that hard to do bro. I have changed mine a few times without breakage.. I to was worried they would break

 

you can def push from the top if you remove your overhead console, but I just did it with pliers, i was worried bout it breaking too, but it didn't, and if it did, it wouldnt be in ur fingers

 

Wrap the bulb with a bit of 2" painters tape, pinch the excess into a little "tail" and yank it out. Worked great for me.

 

Thanks for the advice, guys. I got them out. They were pretty stubborn and fit into the socket really tight. I have a roll of the double sided tape to fasten on moldings and emblems. I cut a small strip of the tape and stuck it to the bulbs and it was sticky enough to get a good hold and pull them right out. Got the LED's in and all's well. I have a Honda CRV with LED's inside and have gotten used to them.
