black out lights or no?

where is everyone getting the colored grill frame? ive tried looking everywhere for them...or are yall painting them yourselves?

 

the sport trucks come with them.lol if not, try friends, craigslist, dealer. places like that.

Im a police officer. I pull over every blacked out tail light I see. I also stop every pickup with HIDs I see. I see the OP lives in Texas. I would not do anything to get myself pulled over unecessarily.

 

I really like this mod, and its legal. Is that done like a BHL mod or is that an aftermarket tail light?

 

WOW... i guess the po-po in texas have nothing better to do except worry about tinted tails and hids

 

I am sorry but I like to see at night and since I got my hid's I will never drive a vechile again without hid's. They say they blind people but if they are aimed right you. Should not have any issues

 

Well, our overtime is a traffic program. All I do is write tickets when doing traffic enforcement. Tinted tails, HIDs, head or tail lights out are all easy to see. Blacked out tails are harder to see, HIDs blind people more easily. Also, I have had felony arrests for drugs, arrests for warrants, etc off of trafic stops for light violations.

You can do what you want just be prepared for the ticket. I used to run no front plates on my sports cars and got some tickets for that.

Are HIDs illegal in Texas? HIDS don't blind people. Any headlight will blind if not properly aligned.

 

I guess it depends where you live, ive been pulled over a couple times for the tails i just got out and pulled the covers off and the officer said "see you later" no ticket..

But to target peeps with HID's and tinted tails is just BS, about 5 my friends in town are cops they would just tell you to chill on that stuff, worry about the important things
