That was my plan when I did it then realized they give off a good bit of light in the corners so I left them. I tilted them so they are facing the corner of the bed so all you see is the black back side of the velcro.

Here is some poorly taken pictures. I'll get better ones up sometime.

First shot is with the flash so you can orient yourself to the perspective of the shot, so in the next pic you know what you are looking at.

i did a four led strip set under the dash and under the front seat so the floorboards would light up. Then I did 2 single leds in the console, coin tray, cup holder, double cupholder in the back of the center console, and the vent for the inverter (looked cool lit up).

RAPR I have two comments after reading this amazing thread.....

This is AWESOME- and WAIT, WTF, he has a freaking PS2 in his Dash. Sh!t I am never going to convince the boss (wife) this is a blessed mod if THAT little fact comes out....

Truly awesome thread... I am now buying an Armload of LED's for the boat, the truck, the dawg, Hell the kids might even get some but I have to check the VA laws first..... :)

lots of love from the east....

I got a pair of LEDs left over....dunno how that happened. I am guessing they will get installed in the glove box.

Unless I can pop the AC controls out and stick them facing down into the cup holders. They would almost be above the 12v cigarette plugs.

    Thoughts?

Do the glove box!! Super easy. Follow my glovebox info quite a few pages back. I did one led in there but you def want 2.

After taking off my grill to install my clear headlights, I thought of more shit to do.

I'm putting 3 up in my grill shooting downwards and the middle one I want behind my devil horns emblem. I'll try to figure out how to make that work so the inner part of the grill area glows. Then I have an idea for the bed cubbies that should be crazy!!!

LOL...thanks man! Yeah my boss....cough cough....is starting to hate my truck and she gives me shit everyday.
The PS2 is the only thing that will fit in there and I still love some PS2 games so it works out good. It can be played on any of the 3 screens in my truck. I'll have a dvd playing up front and the kids can play PS2 on one screen and watch or play whatever on the 3rd screen. Keeps the lil shits busy on trips:D

I blame all of you for the fact my truck is a few weeks from delivery and I am already planning holes in it.

I generally subscribe to the "live with it for a while before you tear it all apart" theory but things like the LED mods are no brainers .... Curse the intertubes...

I've had my truck for 7 years and STILL didn't want to put holes in it...LOL. I just figured I would go about it like i do with rock chips and dings.....IT'S GONNA HAPPEN and I cant do shit about it. If you get the LED holders...it makes the job look amazing and clean! ;)

RAPR - Props and major thanks for doing this and including such a detailed write up..

Tango - thanks for showing me this thread, I had unintentionally skipped over it and didn't realize how much good information is here.

I just ordered the red LEDs, LED holders/retainers, and the wago clamps from your ebay links, RAPR. I am planning on doing the cup holders, cubby in front of the shifter, and maybe other places. I will have some LEDs left over so I might just save them in case the installed ones burn out.

Also, is there a place that I can buy a 12V relay/toggle for less than the price of the scion ones? I have one here at my house, but it doesn't fit the factory switch locations (where yours are mounted) at all. I bought these floorboard LEDs from pep boys and they should work out good.

I have already done the dome light and map lights in red.

PS did you have to buy any extra wire to get all of that hooked up? My wires on this pep boys dash kit don't look long enough at all. If so, where did you get it?

There are toggle and rocker switches all over that you can get cheaper. The reason I went with those is because of the factory fit (i'm anal!!!) but there are others out there. There's a thread on here called "show your toggles" or some shit like that. There are links in there for all the ones people have bought. That's where I found my Scion ones. I'll hunt for that link real quick.

Glad this thread helped you out. If ya got questions....feel free to ask;)

    Todd,
I bought some 16 gauge from Radio Shack, could have found it cheaper other places but I only had one day to tear open the truck. A tip, when installing your LEDs make sure they dont face the driver or passenger eyes. IN the day time, they dont seem bright....but at night they will really light up the place and you dont want that light in your eyes distracting you from the road.

Lights and clamps came in yesterday. I'm going to start this project when I get home today maybe around 1:00 if I don't get lazy and decide to take a nap lol.. I will take pics and put them up.. and I'm sure I'm going to have a few complications.

Quick question do you have and pictures of how you mounted the lights under the truck?
