Corner lights required?

I have recently installed fibgerglass, the corner lights aren't lining up and I'd like to just leave them out. I haven't had my corners plugged in for over a year now, but I'm concerned having the housing missing will start problems with law enforcemnt.

Do I legally need corner lights?

I don't think that there should be an issue with not having them. Not all cars have corner lights. Most cars only have a one piece light that does not necessarily include a corner piece. But check local laws just to make sure.
My opinion would be that even if the lights don't line up, it would look better than not having them at all. The holes just scream that something is missing.

I ended up getting them to fit, didn't like the empty holes.

Fiberglass is not my friend!

If it came with it from the factory, Federal law requires that it be there and be maintained.
Some states are not as restrictive, like Florida does not require turn signals on motorcycles and they won't cite a modern bike where they've been removed.
Take that same bike to California and it'll be a cop magnet.
