I have about $235 invested in it and yes, there are different optics. I went with 4 spot and the two outside lights are elliptical optics. I would just go with all spot since it is 24° FWHM and that is plenty.

I had three year old twins "helping" me at times. It was a fun project though, when these die the next bar is gonna go BIG! Technology will be even better in a year or two so... I just like that the output is high and amps are low.

It absorbs voltage spikes & drops. LEDs don't like them at all. Also stores energy for startup. Depending on power wire lenght, there might be enough of a voltage drop to damage the driver. It's more of a "just in case" thing, plus they are real cheap and the manufacture recommend them so I went with them. Ran the lights for about two hours this past weekend(truck was sitting still) and the cooling fins hardly got warm. I would go with smaller fins next time. Hope this helps...

would it be possible to use this driver to power multiple leds? Since it is rated to 5 amps constant current, I would like to run one of these for every 4 or 5 leds. Any feedback such as how to wire them would help. Thanks
