Does anyone know what the difference is between the two bulbs. I'm asking because I have a trailer that has one of each in the tail lights. Need to get new bulbs but don't know which is the correct bulb ?
    Thanks for any input.

Quick search I did indicated that they are compatible, but the 1157 is slightly brighter.

    Yup...
The 2357 is significantly brighter than the 1157 on the stop/turn... the parking light filament is identical.

    But here's the specs:

    1034 Low = 8.3w High = 23.0w
    1157 Low = 8.3w High = 26.8w
    2057 Low = 6.7w High = 26.8w
    2357 Low = 8.3w High = 28.2w

But... the 2357 is only rated for 400 hours. The 1157 is 1200.
The 1034 is only 200 hours.

    Thanks for the input guy's.
It' appears the bulbs are compatible, the locking prongs are in the the same place on both bulbs.
The 1157 is a brass body & a little brighter stop & turn light.
The 2057 is a stainless steel body, longer life & not quite as bright.

I believe I'll replace both with the 2057's.

    Thanks for the help.

    Stick with 1157.

The 2057 stop/turn is the same as 1157, but the running lights are 2 watts lower.

Running lights are super important on a trailer... not too many things worse than rolling on the highway and having someone change lanes into your trailer because he couldn't see your running lights.
Flatbeds are the worst for this and it's almost happened to be a few times!

Ok, I had it backwards for the wattage designation. 1157's it is.

    Thanks.
