Yellow Paste in Light Socket

Does anyone know what this stuff is called? And where I can get more of it? That yellow stuff in the socket... Thanks!

Yup... Dielectric grease.
Some people just use Vaseline, but it's petroleum based and can mess with some insulation/plastic products. I'll use Vaseline on battery terminals, but anything else gets a silicone or lithium based grease.

 

Grote lighting makes a couple of different grades of dielectric grease, you would use the lighter one on small socket stuff, and the heavy one on truck/trailer lights. There is a product called "Superlube" in a gray tube, I use this on micro processor connections on Thermo King units, its great but a little pricy, a little goes a long way. In the northeast, if you dont use some type of dielectric you get bad corrosion.
