Interested to see if anyone else is running auxiliary driving/spot lights with a projector retrofit. If so, what are you running?

    Have 55W FX-Rs, with 4300 45122+ Bulbs...

Would like to get lights that will add more illumination, not just get washed out and lost in the absolute UFO brightness that I've got now. Seems as though an HID retro in Hella 500s would be pretty much pointless.

Contemplating picking up some Rigid Dually's in the flood pattern. The foreground limiter in the FX-Rs is pretty far out and has taken a little getting used to. Would really like to adapt the Dually's to fit in the fog light cut outs on my ARB.

What are you trying to accomplish with retrofitting a spot or driving light? A projector will give you a wide beam with a crisp cutoff. Throwing an HID bulb in something like a hella 500 will give you a much brighter beam. Retrofitting off road lights seems sort of pointless because you should choose the pattern you really want/need when you purchase the lights.

Screwed up that first post. My bad.

I've already retrofitted my headlights to 55W FX-Rs.

Was curious to see what others with Projector Retros were using for Aux. lights.

I'm a fan of the Lightforce HIDs - either the 240s, or 170s.

Haven't seen much in the way of reviews from the Lightforce FACTORY HID setups. Everything that I have seen is DIY conversions from Halogen to HID.

I'd like the lights to be functional - don't really see the point of going with a Halogen Light, when I've already got HIDs in the headlights.

My bad, I thought you were looking to put a projector in an off road light

Depending on your budget, check out something like Lightforce or Kragen lights. From what I've heard, their light output is pretty impressive!

EDIT: Even in their halogen form, they can be very effective, even if you have retrofitted headlights. Their pattern will throw light out further than your FR-Rs.
