Headlamps Tacoma to 4runner glass headlamp assy

I am wondering what other Toyota headlamps will fit a 2000 Tacoma That are glass as I am tired of changing out plastic ones when they get cloudy I have tried the polish and it don't last long. Mark

 

Was thinking about investigating retro-fitting 4 runner glass headlights on my '01 tacoma. Looks like the grill needs to be changed also. Anything else? Anyone already done this? No matter how many times I buff the plastic the micro cracks still take away from the look.

 

The older first gens had sealed beam headlights. Not sure what it takes to swap the grille and such over.....I think I saw a thread on this awhile back...maybe search here a little or use the Google....someone's done it for sure.

Sealed beams are glass, and there are a lot of upgrades you can do as well.

 

Sealed beams are glass, but they are also only 35w so they suck.

Move into aftermarket retrofits that can accept the 55w H4 lamp and you're back to plastic.

 

Maybe the cheapies are plastic, but I've had Hella H4 retrofits on two previous vehicles that came with a H6054 sealed beam. (same as an early first gen). They were glass and metal housings. With 55W/100W H4 bulbs there was no need for additional driving lights on high beam.
