Installed HID's in 09 taco

    In a previous thread I asked about special wiring for flickering for the 09.

    The kit is a O-NEX 8000k HID Kit.

    Apparently I didn't need to even use a relay wire/harness at all with the truck, I just installed the balasts and the bulbs. ALTHOUGH, I didn't have a plug/socket that fits the stock plug for the stock bulbs so I had to wire it myself and throw some butt connectors on it to seal the deal :X. Its been 2-3 days since they've been installed and no problems yet.

    IF I have problems, I guess i'll be puting a relay on.

    EHHHH.. They arent THAT bright, like... they have these little shields under the bulb and they don't project above anyones trunk.

    I was behind a cop yesterday and he didnt even care.. almost as if they are legal.

    I had a '99 Xtra Cab PreRunner SR5 V6
    That's the color temperature you're referring to, not the amount of light it projects. 8000k is pretty blue while 4300K is pretty close to some OEM applications from BMW or Lexus for example.

    You'll be able to see better with 4300k if you're going for function, 8000k is more for the colour
