    +1

Ant's is a complete set including new headlights so you have no down time.

Once you get the new ones, you can sell your OEMs to someone else looking to retrofit, or, if your lenses are clouded like mine, they could be used by someone temporarily while they retrofit their OEMs.

For the OEM housings, you want the H4/9003 adapter harness, and for the H1/DS2 kits, you want the H4 adapter plates.

    Prices as follows:

    FX-R Stage-III - $315
    FX-R Stage-IV - $410
    DS2 - $295
    H1 - $270

The Stage IV is a Denso slim ballast and Osram burner. The Stage-III and H1/DS2 are Morimoto ballasts and burners.
The Stage-IV is basically the same kit used by manufacturers... 4300k color temp.

But... The installation of the FX-R is a bit tedious and requires a fair amount of cutting, plus some aiming experimentation before the housings are sealed up. The H1 and DS2 projector units just replace the OEM lamps, so it's just a matter of splitting the housings and sealing them back up.

Stick with the 4300k color temp. Don't be tempted to go 6000k or higher. The blue light is a cop catcher, and provides less usable light to the driver since we can't see the UV ranges.

    Those are the DS2 projectors.
The H1 provides a slightly wider pattern, and it's a little cheaper.

The LED halos were added and are not a part of the HID kit.
The shrouds from Theretrofitsource are available with cold-cathode halos for an extra charge.

Do it right or don't do it.

Otherwise, you end up with either blinding other drivers with the glare and a broomstick up your butt without lube from the insurance company if you are involved in an accident... or this:

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I haven't heard anyone mention that after painting DO NOT GLUE THE LENS ON RIGHT AWAY or the solvent will fog up the inside of the lens) You must allow the solvent in the paint to dry completely, first (I'd let them sit for at least a day to completely flash off) then glue them together. IMO.

Don't have to preach that to me. I said "money" because that was "on the money" for the right advice and information. It's ok though Rich I know I'm half your age

I'd get the glue to be safe, but if you're careful when you split the housings, you can re-use the original glue to put them back together (back into the oven!)

But even with that, I would run a nice bead of GE Silicone-II around them and using a gloved finger, work it into the joint.

As mentioned, leave the housings open after painting.
Personally, I'd wait a week or two, but some will pop them into the oven to do a flash cure and it seems to work.
Also after sealing with silicone, I would also leave the HID burner and turn signal/marker lamps out so the vapors from the silicone can escape.
Most of it's going to be on the outside, but some will be on the inside.

Keep an eye out in the marketplace, or you could go with eBay housings.

The two common issues with eBay housings are they leak, and the pattern is less than ideal (even the non-HID, wife has a set of Spyders on her Rav and the pattern is funky).
The projectors take care of the pattern issue, and you'll be opening to install the projectors so you'll be taking care of the sealing issues.
