I've searched numerous threads for this issue but most deal with not turning on do to poor ground or bad relay etc. I've wired my driving lights with a lighted switch and spliced into the parking lamps so they are only available when the main light switch is turned on. When I first installed them they worked flawlessly: turn main light switch (park or lowbeam), driving light switch lights up, toggle switch, Hellas illuminate. Now however, whenever I turn the main light switch, the Hellas come on whether its switch is toggled or not and wont turn off until the main/park lamps are off. If I tap the relay they will turn off but I've replaced this with a new Autozone relay and same thing. Any ideas? Is the current from the park lamps too low to throw the relay? Any help is appreciated.

Maybe the lighted switch has a high resistance short in it. It might allow just enough current to keep the relay closed until you tap it. Pull the switch out and turn the lights on then off, if the lights stay on cut one of the wire to the switch. If the lights go out change the switch.

Thanks I'll look into the possibility of a faulty switch.
