I used the GE Silicone II stuff from Walmart to seal up what I had dug out.

Best thing to do is throw it back in the oven, open it all back up, clean the inside of the lens and try and reseal it using a generous bead of silicone to seal it. I lay the bead down and than throw it back in the oven to let everything heat up and than compress it together.

So you finished it or are you still holding out for the new headlights?

I'm still indecisive. I love the look of the BHLM, but I also really like the new headlights.... If I could find somebody to help me with it, I'd go with the BHLM for sure. I'm certain that by Sunday I will either have the BHLM done, or the new ones will be ordered. Maybe I should start a thread with a poll on it?

Quick question. I did a search, but there is too much discussion on this topic to narrow down what I am curios about. I was looking at my 2010 Sport, and it looks like the area that people black out is already color matched to my MG paint. Is this a new thing? What models/years get this?

They changed the lites for the '09+ model years. The '05 - '08 are bright chrome. I haven't heard of anyone doing this to the '09 or '10's.

I did it to mine and my taco is a 09 and had the bright chrome so it must be a '10 thing.

Oh man, please save our server some space and don't post your BHLMs. We have seen 500+ of them.

I'll definitely let you know once I choose.

I've been in touch with Lentsnh abut his black headlight service. He's got a pretty cool deal going. So now I technically have 3 options... Can't even flip a coin anymore!

Well, I finally made up my mind, I went with the black housing dual halo (angeleyes) projector headlights w/LED.

    th_newheadlights_89a44fa783e11c9222b583e19e1450a089f2cf10.jpg

Rmb_crew, PM me if you're still interested in the stock headlights. (I'll put them up on the Buy/Sell Thread once I get the new ones on if I don't hear from you.)

Props to Lentsnh for his BHLM service, I know when I was in high school it would have been hell to try to keep an operation like that going!!

And to you guys (and ladies), who conquered the BHLM, I applaud you! I just honestly don't have enough spare time to re-attack it. AND I think these will look pretty sweet!

you put basically the whole thing in the oven. make sure you take off all the lights, and plastic things. and that weather stripping part at the top is okay to leave on.

So as that sits, even with the main headlight reflector she all goes in?

The photo you posted looks like you have everything off that needs to be off.

You need to put the whole headlight assembly in the oven. I put mine on a cookie sheet so the metal grill in the oven would not melt the plastic.
