I edited this original post to make tit somewhat informative.

I purchased a Rigid Industries flush-mount light (SM-R) to install in the rear bumper for additional illumination when in reverse. I wanted it to come on w/ the stock reverse lights. After being advised of the preferred power source, I chose to run the wires in to the cabin and tied in to the Towing Package's wiring.
I asked Anthony (PSU Taco85) where he tied in to and he provided me with the picture below. The only problem is that Toyota must have changed their wiring between model years. Anthony's 2010 had power from the Yellow Wire, as shown below. Turns out, my 2008 has power from the Red/White wire, again, pictured below.

Anthony's 2010: Yellow is power wire

My 2008: Reverse Power comes from Red/White

I haven't finished the install yet, but as soon as I do, I'll update this post w/ more pics and (hopefully) further proof that this wire is a safe and sufficient to utilize :)

Get one of those things with the alligator clamp for ground that you touch the point of it on and it lights up. They are very cheap. As far as verifying the wiring colors, sorry, no help.

Test light and x2 on getting one if you plan on doing any sort of wiring on your truck.

Meant volt meter. I guess if nobody has an answer I can just grab one of those test lights. They're usually only about 10 bux.

Ok, heres what I got. Since it was a power wire, I assumed it was one of the larger wires in the harness. Started with Yellow since that's where Anthony had power at in his '10. No Luck. Skipped to the Red/White wire and bingo..Power in Reverse, Nothing in Neutral.
So it looks like this is where I'll be tying in to for the reverse lights. Grounding on the frame.

    **edit: put picture in OP**
