Fog Lights On or Off?

what fog light bulbs do you all reccomend. im getting PIAA super white bulbs for headlights. ?? are 3k hid's worth it?

 

Fogs Light up the sides of the road nice. This is necessary when the deer are active.

 

Ive always kept them on. Helps when driving dark back roads, and just lights up the road more. But ever since I lifted the truck, people flash their lights at me thinking I have my brights on. Its actually really funny.

 

Actually, not properly aiming your lights isn't all that funny. What if a loved one was blinded by improperly aimed lights and was injured in an auto accident?

This isn't a very good idea. The consequences could alter someone's life.

 

I prefer to have them on but some radio controlled roads that I drive on will have people asking for them to be turned off, no skin off my back so i turn them off and KCCO. Not going to disregard other drivers comfort (even though some folks bitch because they are unhappy with themselves) but I really like the way they light up my world.

yeah i get flashed all the time with just low beams since i got piaa extreme white plus...

everytime they do i give them bright light. high beams and fogs on

 

did you re-aim your lights after you put the lift on?

 

I believe by tailgating he means hanging out in the back of your truck on a camping trip or such.

 

I don't get flashed but after I did the lift I tried to readjust but never noticed a real difference. As far as people riding your ass go I would just drive slower, that would piss them off more then lights being flashed at them.

 

driving slower definitely makes em more mad.i love doing that to people who like to tailgate me up my hill especially when they turn their brights on. i still want a rear facing led light though

 

i did this tonight. went to get dad christmas present. and on the way home. had some car like 3’ or closer and they put high beams on. there was a bunch of cars in front of me and beside me. i just slowed down by like 10 or 15 mph. anyways once i did that they backed way off. it’s not like i could get over and them go pass me really fast. there was a bunch of cars in front of me.

 

On all the time until they burnt out after just one year. Read that there may be a power surge on startup that is tough on them, so now I only use when it's foggy.

 

Many a time, I wished I had them, as I tend to load my boat either too late at the end of the day, or the night before and it's really Handy to have that extra lighting.

That's another one of those things on my ToDo list to make my truck work for me.

When I get time and read the fog light mod, and it's not too difficult for me, will be doing that also as I drive on occasion dirt roads out in the desert at night, so having both my bright headlights on and running lights would be nice

I usually only have them on when it's murky out , don't sweat it

 

I have them on whenever my headlights are on just to spite those who think its wrong to use them any other time other than fog.
