I purchased DDM and wasnt much more impressed then the ebay ones, 2 issues with ballasts within a year, yes the sent me replacements free of charge but it was still a hastle and a headache.

Next time around Im going to spend the $ on a quality set.

+1 for TRS. If you are going to put in HIDs dull a full retrofit and put in a projector don't just put in Plug 'n Play HIDs. The PnP kits glare horribly and blind people.

There is a reason for that... Anything over 6,000k (actually even 5,000k) begins putting out significantly less visible light. The higher the number the more blue the light (or purple at really high kelvin), but the less people can see that light. Higher kelvin temps also create more glare than in the proper range, so not only are they providing less usable light, they actively make things harder for everybody on the road to see.

Stay under 5,000k if if you actually want your lights to light up the road.

I second that. One of my ballasts stopped working after a month. I swapped ballasts & the problem followed the ballast. Called em up & they would have just had me do the troubleshooting I'd already done had I not already done it. Cut off the wires on the defective ballast & send a photo of the destroyed defective showing the destruction & serial number. The replacement ballast showed up a few days later.

I must say that driving with 1 FX-R for a while was as good as or better than the light from 2 normal halogen bulbs.
