So I'm just hooking up my KC Slimlights, and I've got an issue. I followed the diagram, and upon grounding the switch, I blow the 5amp fuse. The lights work without grounding the switch, but the light inside the switch won't work without it. On initial set up, it worked a few times, but then blew. When replacing the fuse, it blew as soon as I hooked up the ground again. Do I have something backwards?

I would advise against wiring it that way, the switch is getting the full current from the battery and could pose a fire risk, getting hot, melting etc.

Try it like this, it's how KC recommends to wire and if you pull a low amp draw to power the switch from say the windshield wipers you won't kill your battery if you forget to turn the switch off. You would have got a relay and all the supplied wiring with the kit.
