Stupid question about map lights

Hey, I just replaced my map lights with LED's boards that I got on ebay-Super Bright!

The question is: do the map lights normally come on when you open the door to the truck like the dome light does (assuming it is set to "door")
I feel like my map lights did and with the LED's they don't, but now I am doubting myself...maybe they didn't?

No map lights dont do that unless you modify. Instructions can be found here with searching.

Perfectly normal... This time.

There is a way to make them come on at the same time when opening the door. I want to do it but havent.

 

If it's techstream, them I'll do it. but I don't want to do splicing wires and crap...lemme search this..
