The Tacoma housing has shields on the regular housings... not on the fogs.
Even with the shield, HIDs glare and blind the shit out of oncoming drivers.
Please don't use them. The reflectors were not designed for the HID arc.

yes they do have shield but those will do nothing for hids you need the ones that reflect light up into the housing . Ive been running my 55ws in square housings and you get a way better cutoff with them compared to the round ones, you can see on a wall that the cutoff is very good and does not blind people, the round ones have much more scatter

On a proper projector, the light separates almost like a prism at the very edge of the cutoff. The oncoming driver will see blue when the cutoff is just below his line of vision. It fades back to white as the oncoming vehicle is farther or closer... or if the driver hits a bump/dip in the road, the oncoming driver will be a blue "flash" as the cutoff passes over his eyes.

A lot of OEMs have gone to a Fresnel lens to reduce the sharpness of the cutoff, and it also eliminates the blue line at the edge. It is better for oncoming drivers because the pattern more closely imitates halogens, and it gets away from the heavy intensity change when the driver hits a bump/dip.

That color change on bumps is also called flicker

Yeah I had fxr's waay before they were popular.

That band of light at the cutoff is called the colorband also.
