trying to swap hid bulbs, not sure what this wire is

Hey guys im trying to swap bulbs in my truck. I have the 6000k that came with the lights in but im putting 5000k in from ddm tuning. I dont know what the two small wires are that go into the bulb I have in now. Any ideas? Do I need it? The ddm ones didnt come with it

That's your high beam solenoid.
If the new lamps don't have it, you won't have high beams.

 

Are the originals a bixenon? Meaning high and low beams? If so that is probably the wire that activate the change to move the bulb out when the highs are turned on.

I put the other bulbs in, and they suck. Im thinking because they are only a low beam. Anyone know a good bixenon for H7s?

I saw those ones but they aren't bi xenon. So they said those are the only ones they have that are an h7 or h7 compatible?

Unless you've got some oddball housings, you should have H4 like the 2nd Gen.
H7 is not a high-low type lamp... you won't find one anywhere.

 

I have projectors. They are h7s. And the ones I had in are a bi xenon. Maybe they are just something special?

 

That's going to be tough.
Unless you can get an H4 base to fit... and importantly, align the capsule properly with the reflector, you're going to be stuck with low beams only.
