I recently did a FX-R retrofit based on all the great info in this forum (Thanks!), but had moisture issues in both lights. So, while they are off the truck and the housing seals being re-worked with butyl and silicone, I wanted to inquire about what others have done with the boot seal at the rear of the housing.

I am using the D2S style bulb/connector, thus I had to cut a pretty big hole in the boot to get it to fit. This is hardly a water tight/proof connection. While I don't know for sure, I am leery of water getting into the housing from this location. What is the best way to handle this area of the retrofit? What have others done successfully?

    Thanks
    Dan

    Too many to list now.
Mines been open a little over a year, no water yet :)

I'm also still looking for a solution though.
