HIDs shut off when ham radio is used!

    I've got four 9" china made HID's
    Finally found out why they shut off sometimes-
    Whenever I use my ham radio to talk, they shut off- first the light closest to my hood mounted antenna, then all of them if I keep talking for more than a few seconds.

    Anyone have this problem?

    Any idea how to fix this? I'm at a loss for ideas...

    Eh. I've got the 170 Amp towing alternator & they have no problem staying lit when I run my compressor that pulls 30-40 amps... I think it's gotta be rf interference because the opposite light furthest from the antenna on the same circuit stays on at first

    Also before anyone asks, the radio is direct to the battery & lights on separate circuit

    Agh. I was worried about that. Read somewhere these damn things throw off enough rf on their own that it actually shuts off some jeeps or makes em run rough by screwing with their computers just didn't think I could shut the light off by throwing rf at it!

    Wonder if I could make some kinda ground-loop magnet wrap on the leads inside the lights?

    Otherwise I'll be going up to hella's or light force sooner than I thought... Damned expensive though

    lightforce... i love mine:D also take a damn good beating...i'll show friends and people how tough they are and take a receiver ball wrench to them hard and all they do it thump and pivot back at the aiming points.
