Hello, 2nd Generation Tacoma - looking for the best place to tap into the wiring harness for ignition switched 12V.

Also looking for a 12V circuit that comes on with the dash lights.

Installing an autometer gauge -- shouldn't cause to much havoc.

    Best!

Add a fuse, and just find a circuit in the factory panel that is hot with the key. I used the IGN fuse for my CB for awhile until I hardwired it. :D I also use one of these for my lighted aftermarket switches, tapped into the tail light circuit so they come on with the parking & headlights.

Just get the correct size. I almost bought the slightly bigger one... or smaller, I can't remember which.

Edit** The difference was ATM or ATC, You want the ATM fuse tap.

Well, while we are at it, Ben Lightning's heated mirror build in the TCT magazine has a pos and neg wire into the OEM fog light switch for the backlight function. Only turns on when the headlamp circuit is up. Anyone know if I can use the pos lead to as the pos source for my autometer dimming function?
