I've got 1 50 inch bar on my roof of my 2nd gen. Sure it's bright as hell for the first 200 feet then noticeably "washes" out. I'm not the getting light output I want which is something that shoots further. I'm not really into the whole looks of the bulky HIDs. Not a fan of a large roof rack with bulky HIDs on top or on a bull bar in front of the grill. Don't need massive HIDs sitting In front of the truck. I have a stock grill so stuffing them behind the grill is not really an option.

Found this at ohvlights.com... Looks like a good long distance spot pattern in the pics...

What kind of LED bar do you have? I cant imagine that thing washes out and doesn't project a ton of light unless you got a cheap one. Remember, you get what you pay for.

I've got some cheap Amazon lights. Couldn't be happier with them

'I just got PIAA LED's, the 570's, baja style, planned on HID's but went the more modern route. Get huge distance but not real bright unless in pitch black dark, mostly a spot pattern, sorta thinking would have been happier with HID's. Get great distance, but the LED light is very white, soft. Look great, will do the job.

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
There is really NO comparison between HID amd LED.

HID is essentially the same technology used in stadium lighting.

LED is the same technology used in flashlights.

My KC 150watt HID lights draw just 30watts. Super bright and white.

I'll use LEDs to light my engine compartment and truck bed.
