Since I've had my Taco I have always hated the headlights and envied those with HID's. Not to mention I have longed to join the Satoshi grille/light club!

This weekend I finally made it happen. I installed Morimoto 5000k HID kits for the headlights and fog lights from The Retrofit Source. I chose PIAA 520 ATP's for the Satoshi/High Beam Lights. And then for a little more light I added two Rigid Industries D2 Driving Beam Lights in the lower valance which I also purchased smoked covers to conceal them when I don't need them.

I went into the junction block and wired it so that the fog lights stay on when the high beams are on and tied the PIAA's to the high beams signal.

I also finally installed my color matched Satoshi grille to get rid of my chrome grille and allow the lights to show through. I purchased the grille from Amazon and pretty happy with the way it came out. Along with my long awaited Toyota skid plate.

Below are some pics and descriptions; let me know what ya'll think!

This is where I chose to mount the ballasts for the HID's...

This is the awesome light mounting bracket from BAMF, highly recommend this piece, great build quality, tons of adjustment capability, and easy installation.

Here you can see the custom bracket I made in order to mount my D2's, not pretty but got the job done.

D2's mounted and installed in lower valance.

D2 with smoked cover. When installed the cover hides the lights well but definitely diminishes the light output noticeably.

Finished product with the lights off...

Looks good man! Love the ridgids in the lower valance. Are your HIDs in the stock projector housings though?

Thanks man. Yeah they are in stock housings. Later on I hope to purchase black headlight housings and retrofit projectors to them.

So how bad is the beam in the stock projectors?

    Thank you sir!

The beam isn't too bad. I adjusted them down to the point that they do not shine into on coming traffic or the rearview mirror of people in front of me. I do notice a small void in between the fogs and headlights but the Rigids fill that perfectly.

That's good! When you get new housings and projectors it'll look so sweet! As for now though that bright white looks so awesome though :D
